SPRING CLEANING IS HERE: If you have any old assigned course(s)/duplicate(s) in your courses section, please drop these courses from you profile. (You do NOT need to take any OLD/DUPLICATE courses) Click on: My Courses > click on the course > click on "x drop this course".
CEU Approved Courses: In the Sun University > course catalog > sections 4, 5 and 6 is a list of NAB, ANCC and CDR CE approved courses. Please enter your license into the system prior to taking these specific courses. If you fail to do so, you will not receive the appropriate CE’s. Sun Healthcare Group, Inc. is not an approved NAB, ANCC and CDR provider, *therefore; all assigned training courses are required as an employee and is considered “clock” hour credit.
*Leadership Training: Essentials of Leadership and Retaining Talent for Licensed Administrators and Nurses are approved through the Rhode Island State Nursing Association (ANCC) and NAB.
NEW FEATURE ON SUNU: TRAINERS: When updating training within the Sun University > Training Documentation > You MUST click on the check box: Update Course Registrations. This option will "REMOVE" the training courses from the employees profile. If this is not checked the employee will continue to see these assigned courses in their profile. For further explanation, please call 505-468-4311.
A NEW Educational Calendar of all WebEx training is available in the references section in SunU.
The SDC/ADNS training call will now be held once a month. The last Tuesday of every month at 12 noon MST. An e-mail will be sent to all designated trainers the Monday prior to the training call. If you should have any questions pertaining to the Sun University, please call 505-468-4311 or utilize the help link on the upper right corner.
Emergency Preparedness Training is a three part process: 1. The designated trainer/maintenance supervisor must train employee(s). (Please make sure to have employee(s) sign in on a compliance sign in sheet). 2. Designated trainer must enter training into the Sun University; 3. Employee must log into the Sun University > My Courses > click on the course assigned > complete acknowledgment.
Tips: When taking your assigned training; please go to "My Learning Path > My Courses". Please do NOT register for ANY assigned training through the course catalog. Any assigned training that is completed through the course catalog, self registration section, will NOT drop your assigned training within "My Courses" section.
- Licensed staff - please enter your license information into the Sun University. - Courses found on Sun University can be taught as "live in-services" OR "on-line training" for the exception of Emergency Prep. Please download the training material found in the "downloads" tab in each course. - Please make sure to run a "Compliance" report on "ALL" courses to see what assignments are for your employees. Deadlines are being missed.
